Vista has been the Microsoft standard for sometime now, but Vista is nothing like Windows XP. I feel more stable with XP than Vista. Even though Microsoft officially announced they are not supporting XP with SP 1, They will be continue to send updates to newer service packs (2 and 3) until 2014.
