World Health Organization (WHO) has declared a Phase 5 outbreak which is pretty close to a pandemic. According to WHO Swine flu (Pig flu) is rapidly evolving its way into more countries. 11 countries has been reported confirmed cases of A(H1N1) infections.
This new virus is a mix of pig, bird and human genes, People has little or limited natural immunity to fight the virus alone. That's why we need a vaccine very fast which WHO is working hard to produce.
I saw a Sri Lankan Health department spokesman has told that they are aware of the threat and are taking all measures to stop the virus entering the island.
